Job Mission

Mission of the job is to lead a group of ~ 60 software engineers and technicians, developing all SW for Yieldstar. The job involves frequent interaction with our factory, customers and colleagues in the field of metrology, scanner technology and fab automation, in- and outside ASML. You will be working in a dynamic and high-tech environment, active at the limits of physics. The job involves collaboration with groups in Taiwan and the US.

Job Description

• Create, maintain and validate enabling technology 
• Propose executable solutions that meet business requirements and specify conditions, risks and risk mitigation plans 
• Pro-actively support project realization. 
• Solve (internal) customer escalations effectively 
• Coach group members in their job execution and personal development 
• Manage resources in the group via effective project allocation 
• Manage relationship with SW vendors for in- and outsourcing

Educational Level

University degree in science

Experience

• At least 10 years experience in software application development 
• People manager 
• Wide experience in managing complex machine software development in an R & D environment, as project manager and / or line manager
• Up to date knowledge of modern software engineering techniques and methodologies
• Preferably experience with software outsourcing

Personal Skills

• Highly developed analytical skills and abstract thinking level
• Able to create support
• Good sense of managerial relationships
• Excellent negotiation skills 
• Good command of English and Dutch language spoken and written

Other Information

Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products. The product group Applications provides integrated solutions with computational, metrology and control technology for extendibility and improved efficiency of lithography products (‘scanners”). The metrology is performed with ASML’s Yieldstar, a wafer metrology tool with proprietary optical technology to measure lithographic parameters such as critical dimension (CD), focus and overlay.
