Job description

For our Subcontracting & Contract Administration Department we are looking for a Contracts Engineer. The department is responsible for establishing, maintaining and managing a portfolio of contracts, including frame agreements, with subcontractors for pipelay projects, and ensures that contract terms and conditions are to the satisfaction of the company. The Contracts Engineer reports directly to the Department Head Subcontracting.

Job requirements

• BSc degree in Business Administration or equivalent; 
• Minimum of 5 years experience with contracting port agencies services and the chartering of vessels; 
• Knowledge of ERP systems;
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken;
• Willingness to travel.

Job tasks

• Liaise with internal clients to scrutinise project requirements; 
• Select and contract port agencies to support the pipelay projects and ensure that the contracts comply with project requirements;
• Inform internal clients about selected third parties and give guidance as required; 
• Manage and monitor contract administration and review subcontractors’ invoices;
• Follow up and settle subcontractor claims and / or disputes;
• Review and evaluate the services performed by the subcontractors.
