Job Description

The Vice President International Sales must be able to strategically manage in a multi-location, international environment. The position's main responsibility is to provide strategic oversight of the sales function and to ensure new customer sales goals are met in international markets.

The Vice President will be charged with meeting and exceeding new customer sales goals as well as understanding the ongoing status of the sales pipeline to deliver accurately forecasting. This individual will provide strategic thinking to upper management on new initiatives as well as improvements on current processes and ensure that there is clear communication amongst all teams within the international sales function and across the organization as a whole.

The role will involve heavy people management skills. Together with a team of professional managers and market specialists, the Vice President International Sales will drive the recruiting and development process of new team members and develop team and individual accountability to ensure high quality new sales, operational and financial performance.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's or advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 10-15 years experience in managing a(n internal) telephone sales workforce, selling complex products in a service oriented environment.
  • Must have experience in a process- and KPI-driven environment.
  • Experience working in an international environment is required.
  • Experience working in an academically-related organization is a major plus.
  • Must have a strong commitment to education.
  • Experience with change management is a plus.

  • Must work well under targets, time constraints and deadlines. 
  • Ability to remain focused.
  • Self-starter with drive, determination, focus and initiative that can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Is fluent in English, both verbal and written.
