Senior Bio Fuels Trader

The organisation

I am looking for a senior trader in the bio energy market that has experience in trading a commodity such as bio diesel/bio fuels/ethanol for one of the most prestigious commodity houses.

The senior trader shall be responsible to develop and manage a physical trading book. With respect to the trading, the trader shall have full P&L responsibility and establish the infrastructure required to trade the specific commodity successfully.

The position

The senior trader shall: 

• trade and ship physical commodity globally; 
• trade futures and other derivatives, for hedging or proprietary trading purposes; 
• initiate and implement asset projects in order to establish the infrastructure required for a successful trading operation; 
• oversee the execution of transactions; 
• co-ordinate the supply and demand analysis; 
• maintain close communication with other traders; 
• originate feedstock supply and off take deals and 
• serve as a back-up for trading other commodities.

The profile

The trader shall have an university degree in business, economics, econometrics, or comparable, 6-10 years experience as an experienced trader of a physical commodity, directly or indirectly related to bio mass/bio fuels, with an established network in the (bio) energy or (petro-) chemical industry.

The trader shall be entrepreneurial and Hands-on, commercial and outgoing, practical and goal oriented, self-initiative / self assured, but also a team player and willingness to travel.

Salary

The salary package is extremely competitive.
