Our client is a world leading provider of networked IT services, with network, IT and professional services capabilities available globally. 

The position

To strengthen our sales force within the organization we are currently looking for an enthusiastic, successful and eager Sales Specialist (IP Connectivity Solutions).

The candidate is a strategic professional, responsible for representing the company and selling its products, services and bespoke solutions in an assigned capability.  The candidate will have a technical understanding of the portfolio to be able to tailor solutions to customer requirements.  He/she stays abreast of the latest sales developments and contributes to the functional strategy by applying this within the organization. The candidate should have a successful sales track record in acquisition sales for new business in a similar ICT environment. The key objective is to build a pipeline of well-qualified opportunities within an agreed target account set. The candidate should have a perfect understanding of key milestones and activities of a successful sales process and should be able to develop and execute a winning sales plan for opportunities.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To assist in forecasting business and market needs, and may well operate on a multi-country basis for the IP Connectivity Solutions portfolio
  • To establish key customer relationships with the support of the customer contact strategy
  • To understand customer requirements and offer standard/bespoke solutions tailored to their needs
  • Creates, develops and closes deals for IP Connectivity Solutions in close collaboration with generic Sales
  • Impact is primarily short-term but develops plans over the medium term
  • Assesses customer relationships and service level
  • Realizes growth in IP Connectivity Solutions pipeline, contracted value and profitable revenue
  • Builds relationships with key people within the account (strategic & tactical), understanding customer business strategy and drivers, identifies and creates business opportunities and develops business-value proposition and wins profitable business in line with the organisation's strategy
  • Creates a sales funnel, using Siebel, which will result in both short- and longer-term business wins
  • Is able to take ownership of the entire (pre-) sales process, supported by the pre-sales community
  • The candidate is able to maintain a senior level relationship both with customer and internally, like product lines, bid management, Service Delivery etc. following the customer contact strategy
  • The candidate is able to pro-actively identify, create & build strategic ICT solutions, based on the portfolio that fit customer’s ICT strategy needs.

Candidate profile

  • Good understanding of the IP Connectivity Solutions portfolio
  • Strong understanding of the business needs addressed by IP Connectivity Solutions
  • Strong understanding of the offerings on IP Connectivity Solutions portfolio of our major partners
  • Understands the trends and requirements of the IP Connectivity Solutions market and propositions
  • Experience in working in complex organizational environment 
  • University or Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant sales experience, in particular new business and solutions based sales
  • Proven track record in prospecting and closing Networking/IT projects with medium enterprise accounts with a deal value of  >1M is a must have
  • Having a proven & personal network within corporate (Benelux) industry is a plus
  • Good understanding of current ICT market demands and proven knowledge of software based solutions
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills and a natural relationship builder and networker
  • Good Dutch, French  and English language skills are a must
  • Keep focus on agreed priorities, effective working attitude, result driven, think win-win
  • Able to work independent and committed to do ‘whatever it takes’ to become successful
