The organisation

Our client is a global leader within the promotional goods industry.

The position

  • Lead and develop the DACH (Germany / Austria / Switzerland) sales organization to meet its longterm sales and profit goals
  • Plan and implement sales and marketing activities in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability
  • Maintain a smooth flow of work between Field sales, Telesales, Trading and Customer Service in the country and with central support functions like Order Management, Accounting, Finance and IT
  • Drive sales and margin for large accounts in DACH by identifying potential, selling the value proposition and partner program execution
  • Build a strong commercial team by clear and regular communication, precise target setting and measurement, constant training, motivation and follow-up of each member of the organization

Candidate profile

  • Extensive relevant experience within the promotional goods industry
  • Bachelor''s Degree is required
  • Extensive experience in the sales function, in international B to B environments with excellent track record on setting and achieving targets
  • Strong Sales Management skills, including managing objectives and KPIs alignment, tools and methodology deployment.
  • Superior understanding and experience of sales fundamentals (building and selling value propositions, pricing, negotiations)
  • Channels to market knowledge must include both direct and indirect approaches
  • Previous management or collaborative working relationship with Marketing, Communications, Innovation functions
  • Ability to establish credibility with, motivate and develop the teams, be able to lead change, and inspire the same ability in others is critical to the company''s future success.
  • Transparency and honesty, even when dealing with ambiguity
  • Strong written, oral and organisational communication skills
  • Organisational, presentation and time management skills
