In order to strengthen its business development activity and secure its leading role in the transportation and forwarding universe, Waberer’s is opening the vacancy for a talented and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager Benelux, focusing on the Netherlands.

The position

The main mission of the job-holders will be the following:

  • Search for new customers
  • Building up customer relationship/network
  • Prepare pricing calculations and draft contracts
  • Maintain customer base
  • Care of customer satisfaction with Waberer’s International services and products (at a certain point, the whole client management will be transferred to the Budapest operation after winning the business)
  • Receiving market feedback
  • Competitors follow up
  • Deliver on target (clearly defined KPIs)
  • Report to the local Country Head (not present yet) as well as to the Head of Sales and Key accounts based in Budapest (weekly reporting to Budapest + maximum 2 personal meetings in Budapest). In the Benelux countries where Waberer’s has no local offices yet, a formal operation will be founded in Amsterdam. This will be the job of Sales and Business Development Manager Benelux.

Candidate profile

Professional Track Record

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, transportation and logistics services in the given market. 
  • Dispose of a good Benelux network and business partnerships (knowledge of the Benelux market).
  • Degree in economics, logistics.
  • Fluent in Dutch and in English. Knowledge of the French language is a plus. 
  • Driving license.
  • MS Office knowledge.

The ideal candidate is currently working at a competitors’ organization in the logistics area, and is ready and able to import his/her already existing network, market knowledge and know how to Waberer’s, in order to boost sales activities in the Benelux countries.

Salary indication

The salary indication for this position is max. € 110.000, including bonuses.
