Our client is a diversified, global company that provides vital products and services to customers in more than 60 countries. With more than 100,000 employees worldwide, they are a leading provider of electronic security products, fire protection and detection products & services, as well as valves & controls.
We are looking for a General Manager (m/f) for the Fire Protection Operation in Germany, which has recently gone through a reorganisation to secure a prosperous future for the Company. With approximately 450 employees, their head office is in Cologne with 8 further branch locations throughout Germany. This is an outstanding opportunity for candidates who wish to work in a highly professional and entrepreneurial setting.

Position

• Direct, align and lead the German organisation
• Execute both the long and short-term business strategy
• Ensure sustainable results that meet and exceed financial targets
• Develop and create leading team collectively to drive and achieve all operating results, and more importantly, top and bottom line growth
• Identify business and market trends and develop innovative solutions that surpass customer expectations
• Coordinate synergies within the business unit to drive sales
• Ensure effective communication between the German organisation and corporate functions

Profil

• Excellent management proficiency and proven organisational skills
• Demonstrated experience in building effective, loyal teams in a B2B-focussed service organisation
• Experience in managing vision, purpose and diversity throughout the business and the team
• Substantial managerial courage - be adaptable to change and a quick thinker who is confident and comfortable making decisions; strong and unrivalled customer focus
• Excellent business acumen with a drive for results
• Champion''s integrity and trust with a focus on the company''s ethics and values
• Fluent German and English
