The organisation

Our client is the market-leading logistics service provider in Central Eastern Europe. The Group's companies provide a global range of logistics services. The company supplies each area of logistics.

Our client has founded subsidiaries in Eastern European Countries as well as in the Western Region, in Germany. Recently they opened a subsidiary  in France. Together with the UK and Italy, the Netherlands subsidiary (servicing the Benelux countries) will be opened soon.

The position

As Sales & Business Development Manager you are responsible for establishing a formal operation for the Benelux, based in the Amsterdam area. From this operation you will acquire new customers, prepare pricing calculations and draft contracts, build/expand your network and take care of customer satisfaction.

You recognize changing market environments and competitors in order to adapt your strategy, where required, to ultimately deliver on target.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is currently working at a competitors’ organization in the logistics area, and is ready and able to import his/her already existing network, market knowledge and know-how, in order to boost sales activities in the Benelux countries.

Professional track record

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, transportation and logistics services in the given market. This is a must!
  • Dispose of a good Benelux network and business partnerships (knowledge of the Benelux market)
  • Degree in economics, logistics
  • Fluent in Dutch and in English. Knowledge of the French language is a plus
  • Driving license
  • MS Office knowledge

The salary indication for this position is € 100.000, excluding OTE.
