The position

Responsible for an effective New Business Development Sales program in particularly Germany – including responsibility  for effective implementation through direct engagement and through extended teaming with the Regional & Geography Sales organization, specialists, application and service personnel where applicable. Position is reporting to Manager Life Sciences industry based in Brussels.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Act as A&E/EPC customer advocate to develop joint marketing material and marketing events where the company can be better positioned to win specifications and follow on business
  • Work with OEM team to prepare a priority based business plan to convert the OEM's that are targeted as preferred suppliers to the A&E customers you are developing
  • Work to uncover new capex from the Life Science team and work with the A&E most likely to be engaged
  • Identify capex projects with A&E /EPC companies and create relationship that allow specification resources engagement and win-win  opportunities on both sides
  • Follow investments originated from Tier 1-2 with extended sales team to maximize the revenue potential from opportunity
  • To provide, maintain and co-ordinate world class levels of business expertise and knowledge within the focused industry necessary to grow industry sales both within end users and OEMs
  • Develop partnership with selected accounts, System Providers and Engineering companies in the Life Science field
  • Provide  sound financial and business analysis on an ad-hoc basis to support the  growth and profitability of the business
  • Maintain  awareness of competitive trends, regulations and strategies and their impact on the company

Candidate profile

  • Applied experience in adopting a solutions centric, customer facing approach within the Life Science industry or related industries
  • Proven record of successful Sales Management or Business Development Activities across Germany (or DACH countries)  for a period of 5 years
  • Native German speaker
