The organisation

Our client is a well know Chinese e-commerce enterprise with about € 300 Million revenue and 1800 Employees worldwide. The company owns more than 10 vertical B2C Websites and third party web-stores and a own PC Shopping mall and integrated globally distributed warehouses.

For the German market, we are looking for the Buying / Supply Chain Manager for the new German office in Darmstadt.

The position

  • You will be responsible to win German brands to open up their supplies to our client’s e-commerce solutions
  • You manage, develop and maintain supply chain channels for Baby Formulas
  • You develop new brands like supplements, mom & baby, food and cosmetics
  • You will negotiate all relevant business aspects with the new brand owners
  • Close collaboration with the planning and purchasing team in China
  • You will report directly to the Supply Chain Director of the company in China
  • You will be part of a new team in Germany with good career opportunities

Candidate profile

  • University degree
  • Excellent knowledge in purchasing related positions ideally in the e-commerce and / or chained supermarket business
  • Having existing good relationship with baby formula suppliers/factories would be of help
  • You are able to identify, develop and manage existing business and you will spot future trends
  • Good experience in team building, planning and budget control
  • We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic personality with a high level of motivation and service orientation
  • You are a team player, a good communicator and negotiator and you are able to work self-independent
  • You are a problem solver and you have some risk taking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both German and English
