The position

As Account Manager for our client Process Management Rijswijk you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills in order to prepare and execute service solutions presentations and product introductions. 

You will have to communicate customer needs and requirements to internal departments and use them to adapt the solutions offered. You will also be visiting potential customers to prospect for new business, you will be acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets and preparing a sales account plan for the Dutch market.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a sales professional you are responsible for the financial results of the Dutch market for existing and new customers when it comes to Lifecycle Care, have a huge drive for result and you are a team player. You operate in a matrix organisation and are the linking pin between the Process Systems & Solutions Business Unit with its proposal team and the Customer Service department. 

You maintain and expand the sales channel for after sales activities (incl. service contracts).

You are able to: 

  • Develop profitable new business and growing share in existing base
  • Meet a defined sales target to achieve and operate within established policy guidelines 
  • Maintain and develop existing customers through high levels of service in order to expand and strengthen the relationship 
  • Define strategies and support the Process Systems & Solutions sales channel for all after sales activities 
  • Discuss opportunities with account managers and define actions to capitalize the opportunity 
  • Prepare a services solution sales plan for the Dutch market 
  • Assist the Sales Director in the Service Solutions sales forecasting process 

Candidate profile

We are looking for an experienced account manager based in Zuid-Holland. You have expertise in the process industry and a broad experience in process control business. Your career has been in at least one of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Terminals, Power or adjacent to those.

Candidate profile

  • At least 8-10 years relevant experience in sales
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in related field
  • Advanced level of sales, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Computer Literate (MS Office, with excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Business development & Communications skills
  • Familiarity with our client's divisions and products is a pre
  • Verbal and written communication skills fluent in Dutch and English
  • Action Oriented
  • Approachable, interpersonal savvy
  • Business acumen
