Position

The Head of Integration Engineering manages the Integration Engineering department and acts as technical project manager in forthcoming situations, with international projects.

The Integration Engineering Department is responsible for the hardware and the third party supply engineering, interfacing, incoming and outgoing project technical documentation checks to realize an integrated company system. The department designs and implements also the field instrumentation incl. gas-chromatographs, and takes care of site surveys, site organisation, transition to both site as well as installation and other site activities, whereas project continuity is achieved by migrating the project team from home-base to site. The company’s local service engineers are included in the site activities to realize a smooth transfer of ownership to the customer and smooth transfer of the total system and key knowledge to the local service organization for continuation of customer plant life-cycle services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that health and safety continue to have the highest priority
• Manage the Integration Engineering department effectively and efficiently
• Act as senior project lead engineer in new projects
• Establish professional relationships with major customers and suppliers
• Collaborate with sales to acquire major projects
• Manage an optimized technical design and delivery organization
• Supervise projects, monitor and improve performance and technical results
• Ensure compliance with international, the company’s and customer standards
• Foster a continuous improvement process of knowledge sharing and learning
• Contribute to the overall performance of the company, in terms of safety, health, quality and the environment

Requirements

• Bachelor or Masters degree, preferably with a focus on Engineering and/or Construction Management
• 10+ years Engineering experience required
• Mature personality with proven experience in the management of process automation technical project teams and execution
• Has understanding of process control and automation with a process technology background
• Proven track record in the area of Site Engineering and Field instrumentation
• Knowledge of International codes and practices for design, materials, equipment and construction
• Petroleum or chemical project experience
• Is a self-starter with understanding of cultures and a track record in international project teams
• Is a motivator, team- and relationship-builder, viewing projects from the customer's point of view
• Sets and maintains scope, budget and schedule discipline
• Possesses a flexible attitude with holistic project view
• Is goal oriented and entrepreneurial with win-win as his/her professional base of thinking
• Communications on all project levels with emphasis on medium to top customer levels
• Is fluent in English
• Willingness to travel
