In order to reach the best performance within the supply chain, our client is looking for a new Head of European Procurement & Customer Operations (m/f) to further strengthen business development.

Position

  • Responsible for the management and leadership of a 30 employee team
  • Manage and ensure product availability and inventory levels for a product range within EMEA for the Wholesale Channel
  • Drive and ensure support of Business Model requirements for the wholesale business, Retail Space Management and Never Out Of Stock
  • Direct and influence the range management processes across marketing and market organisations to ensure the Integrated Business Model operates based on the defined criteria
  • Ensure business understanding and drive milestones, calendars, critical SOPs and operational reporting 
  • Manage the consolidation and validation of all EMEA market's demand plans and sales order history to ensure an accurate demand forecast
  • Direct the Purchasing Order Management teams that ensure product availability and minimise excess stock in line with business model specific targets
  • Manage inbound PO flows and order book management processes via stock allocation to area purchase orders at the European Distribution Center
  • Proactively manage working relationships and communication across the supply network and EMEA markets, ensuring that performance levels, inventory levels and ongoing projects are visible and understood 
  • Establish and drive a management framework that supports continuous improvement within the daily operational teams 
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Global Supply Planning vision, strategies and operational goals in line with the strategic business plan requirements 
  • Set strategic direction and lead the team through effective delegation, objective setting, assessments, motivation, training and development plans to maintain a stable, positive and dynamic working atmosphere 
  • Actively mentor and coach the team to help support and further their professional growth.

Profil

  • A degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, logistics and supply chain, or operations; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of work experience, focusing on Supply Chain Management/Logistics, ideally in the FMCG sector
  • 5+ years of management experience in an international environment with cross regional teams
  • Strong understanding of demand/supply models, production forecast, purchasing practices as well as logistics and supply chain principles
  • Strong leadership skills in order to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives as well as proven ability to coach, guide, manage and develop teams
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines 
  • Excellent ability to influence others to build consensus with internal and external partners
  • Excellent ability to participate in and manage complex global and regional projects 
  • Advanced ability to understand and use data to make decisions and influence outcomes
