The position

Heinz is searching for a Marketing Director. In this role you will report directly to the Managing Director. You will have accountability for Heinz local brand portfolio and Heinz sauces activation to ensure delivery of the category/brand P&L. You will share a strong partnership with EU peers to ensure one European innovation pipeline.

As Marketing Manager, you will set the strategic direction for the local brands and actively lead business based on market insight, customer/consumer insight, competitor initiatives and market trends. You will lead the development of annual 3 year strategic marketing plans, including product development, proposition, packaging and communication. Act as a commercial leader to deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) alongside other Commercial functions

You will lead and develop the brand team to deliver against key objectives and have accountability and responsibility for management of budget related to brand area.

Furthermore, you are expected to build a strong working relationship with the European Marketing Operations team and R&D to align on program, category initiatives and cross-category initiatives

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the long and short term strategy plan for the local markets (all brands, all channels)
  • To develop & deliver the marketing plans
  • Driving force behind the strategy and health of their portfolio. Be a true brand champion
  • Lead all elements of the Marketing mix to build strong demand creation
  • Scope covers core range strategy & management, communication development and NPD management including proposition, product, communication and packaging.
  • Marketing team leadership and development
  • Member of the Dutch Leadership team, accountable for delivering the P&L and a high performing organization

Candidate profile

Experience & personal skills

  • Educated to Master level
  • International experience
  • Experience outside of marketing; sales or financial/analyst related desirable
  • Balance of experience with some outside of Food Industry to bring a fresh dynamic/experience
