Our client is an innovative and diversified
multi-billion global supplier of quality products, trusted brands and creative solutions to manufacturers of automotive, light commercial, heavy-duty and off-highway vehicles, as well as in power generation, aerospace, marine, rail and industrial.
 

Position

Lead our client's brand communications activities in the EMEA region. Successful candidate will become responsible for integrated communications programs to reinforce the client corporate and product brands to positively influence OE and aftermarket customers, news media, government/industry officials and employees.
 

• Ensure EMEA customer technology shows, conference participation and industry events are well coordinated to improve customer perception to support business growth.
• Develop innovative customer marketing communications materials including collateral, internet, multi-media, advertising and other brand support.
• Manage the client's interaction with the European general business, automotive and aftermarket news media. Write, translate and/or pitch press releases and interview opportunities, conduct press events and arrange press interaction at industry conferences, trade shows and other special company sponsored events.
• Support employee communications projects including leadership meetings, written articles for company intranet, presentations and other internal communications projects.
• Assist senior management in development of positive relations with industry organizations and government agencies within EMEA.
• Monitor regulatory trends and develop position statements to support management interaction with industry & government officials.
• Develop proactive relationships with key government official staff representatives to ensure access when needed.
• Manage communications agencies and one part-time staff member to accomplish goals while operating within a specified budget.
• Communicate plans, track results and demonstrate accomplishments to senior management.
• Serve as primary point of contact for communications subjects for external audiences and internal personnel in EMEA region.

Profil

• Eight to ten years of relevant experience in a communications department or communications agency involved in automotive or similar industry in Europe
• Minimum of a bachelor''s degree or equivalent in a communications or related discipline.
• Strong general business knowledge and industry expertise
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English, French and German and/or other languages
• Accepts high degree of autonomy and operates without daily direction
• Project management expertise
• Strong computer skills especially Microsoft Office applications and web based applications.
• Ability and willingness to undertake extended work hours and travel as necessary.
• Personal characteristics: well respected professional, self-motivated, energetic, creative skills, strategic thinker, problem solver, team player, interpersonal skills.
• Interest in working for a U.S. based multi-national with strong growth in EMEA and other regions.
• Work as part of global communications team.
