Our client cooperates with more than 100 partners, such as industry leaders, research centers and universities from over 20 EU member states. The aim of this consortium is to increase the competitiveness, growth and attractiveness of the European raw material sector. This process is underpinned by intensive innovation and entrepreneurship. The start-up phase of this rather new company has been initiated and interim
management teams have started their work in January 2015.
Michael Page is assigned to set up the complete senior management of this incubator, starting with the Chief Communication & Marketing Officer (m/f) located in Berlin.

Position

  • In charge of internal communication, network community management and external communication, except financial matters
  • Handles all key issues related to external communication, outreach and dissemination, including the recruitment of new partners, relationships with SME clusters and trade organizations, public authorities and policy makers, NGO’s, media, etc.
  • Responsible for developing the EIT Raw Materials brand and contributing to building the company’s identity
  • Oversees Matchmaking & Networking activities and events
  • Line Manager of MIOs (Market Intelligence Officer) and in close interaction with the COO and the Thematic Offices

Profil

  • Commercial and results-driven marketing professional with a proven track record of success within another innovative international brand (minimum of 5-10 years)
  • The emphasis of this role will include all aspects of marketing, communications and PR, to help ensure that EIT Raw Materials will be present as it changes the sector in the minds of clients and applicants, and is seen as their solutions are state of the art
  • Strong experience in developing markets and bringing product to market
  • Exceptional Social Media, digital communication and PR skills are required, along with a first class academic background and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced and highly commercial matrix organization
  • Sound experience in leading international virtual teams bringing outside trends into the company, building the bridge to the customer
  • Creative person with monitoring of global trends, competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Preferably know-how in attracting funding
  • Experience in managing external agencies
  • Fluent in German and English; any additional language would be a benefit
