The organisation
Our client is a well-respected international consulting firm within the marketing field. They have longstanding relationships with Fortune 500 companies in various industries such as FMCG, pharmaceutical and the medical devices industry.
Their headquarters in The Netherlands consist of a team of internationally educated and seasoned professionals. As they are growing rapidly, they have appointed TRC to search and find a Managing Director to lead the team and to further grow the business.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Direct the activities and productivity of the entire organization
- Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy and planning
- Allocate use of available resources and delegate work duties to staff
- Hire, terminate and train staff
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
- Work with the president to sustain and grow programs and service
- Manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization, in close cooperation with the accounting manager
- Support the organization's strategic alliances and partnership
- Ensure performance goals are met and set
- Attend and preside over meetings
- Participate in strategic planning
- Represent the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partner
- Co-ordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
- Review performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
- Organize and manage business meetings
Candidate profile
Suitable candidates should have proven leadership experience in a marketing and/or sales related role. They preferably have a maximum of 10 years experience in the consulting industry and a solid network within the packaging industry. They have a thorough and compelling understanding of trends and developments within one of the aforementioned industry, including but not limited to: opportunities, market needs, current and emerging issues and their future implications to business.
Education and experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
- Knowledge of strategic planning
- Proven experience within the field of product storage and transportation
- Experience in the consulting and/or market research industry
- Experience in an international working environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal/written)
- Knowledge of (basic) economic and accounting principles and practices

Salary indication
The salary indication for this position is up to € 100.000 fixed, excluding variable remuneration.
