In order to expand, manage and further structure all of the worldwide ground operations within the organization, we are looking for an experienced Manager Ground Operations (m/f).
Position
- Management and leadership of the 20 employees in the Ground Operation's Team
- Responsible for the punctual and up to company standards execution of flights as of their booking time i.e. permits, ground handling requests, catering, flight planning and crew positioning
- Lead and manage the airline's ground handling suppliers and airport companies in order to deliver target performance outcomes in all areas of safety, cost control and operational performance
- Coordination with maintenance in case of unscheduled downtime of aircrafts
- Communication with passengers in case of delays, diversions, etc. and develop appropriate recovery plans
- Maintain updated information in the schedule database and optimize use of aircraft through optimal scheduling
- Monitor all quality of services and take appropriate actions if necessary
- Close cooperation with sales, maintenance and flight operations as well as with the CEO
Profil
- Academic education in Business Administration or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years commercial airline experience in an Operations Control Center
- Practical experience in dispatch, aircraft scheduling, crew planning and obtaining flight permits
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer and service oriented and good communicator with customers in case of flight disruption
- Team oriented and ability to work without supervisions
- Used to lead based on statistics (quality monitoring) and financial figures (flight schedule recoveries)
- International experience
- Fluent German and English
- Good knowledge of applications such as AIMS, AMOS as well as MS Office Package
