Purpose and Objectives

The Dutch Field Services organization is committed to serving its customers by swift realization of value and accelerated innovation through delivery of best in class services. In order to strengthen the relation with customers and to drive transformation, our Client is seeking a Director Consulting as member of the Dutch Field Services Management Team.
The Director Consulting provides strong leadership and management for assigned field consultants, develops an effective team of Management Consultants directly and Consultants indirectly that will meet and exceed customer and partner expectations. The Director engages with customers in challenging projects, securing the customers’ Time-to-Value and TCO, while securing their brand. The Director works closely with Account Management and Consulting Sales in order to position services and to secure our valuable relationship with their customer base. A strong focus on execution, a drive for customers’ success, creativity and agility are key characteristics.

Expectations and Tasks

• Build and manage a team of Process Implementation Consultants, Technology Consultants, Business Solution Architects and Technology Architects indirectly through a team of Managing Consultants
• Advise their customers on questions about the strategic use of software systems
• Leading and participating in a variety of Business and Services Development initiatives, as well as providing back up support on deal and project execution.
• Actively involved in Field Services Management, Performance Management, Talent Management (including Skills Transformation, Workforce and Development Planning), Optimization of Utilization, and Achieving Business Targets.
• Communication of IT aspects to senior management of clients
• Development and conversion of advanced business process and IT-strategy alignment
• Definition of enterprise service oriented architectures and roadmaps
• Guide transition from current architecture to new business architecture
• Business process analysis, evaluation of harmonization- and Standardization potential
• Execution of feasibility studies including cost and benefit aspects
• Program Management of complex Projects related to applications
• Support the transformation process of customers for leveraging the SAP software (Organizational Change Management)
• Align and cooperate with other Clients units to leverage the value add for customers
• Promote Value Partnerships to nurture long term customer relationships
• Play an active role in developing the market for Business Consulting related services
• Responsible for consultant utilization, staffing, talent, performance and skill management of direct and indirect reports

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Business Management (Information Technology related degree is preferred)
• Master Degree is preferred
• Change Management experience related to organization and processes
• Quality Management competency related to projects, solutions, and business processes
• Leadership/ Project/ Program management experience
• Strong Negotiation skills
• Communications/presentation skills (oral, written)
• Team player/interpersonal skills.
• Proactive networking attributes, relationship management skills, C-level advisory competence
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Result driven and execution focused
• High drive, self-starter/motivated
• Services attitude

Work Experience

• Proven background within SAP consulting and Project Management ideally did participate in several full cycle implementations
• Minimum 4-10 years experience in SAP services
• Proven experience in managing multiple tasks and contributors
• Good relationship builder having demonstrated success in managing key customers at a various level (engaging, understanding their needs and providing solutions/products)
• 7 years professional work experience covering at least one of the following areas: (i) strategic management consulting; ( ii ) line of business / management responsibility within industry; (iii) IT strategy roles with specific industry know-how; (iv) SAP related management positions
• Network within the SAP organization would be very beneficial
• SAP experience is a must
