Our client is the largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in Europe. Headquarters in the Netherlands are located in the 'Randstad'. Our client wishes to attract a General Manager for the Netherlands who will drive the company to a successful customer centric organisation.
Position
The Country Manager’s principal role is to manage the commercial operations on a daily basis in order to maximize efficiency and contribute to business success in a highly competitive market.
To reach his or her goals the Country Manager has direct control over people, process and product and influence over promotion, price and place. Key to success is to ensure that optimal human resources are in place to support growth and development of the business. The ideal candidate must therefore have the ability to hire, develop and retain outstanding customer focussed people.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate for the position of Country Manager Netherlands will be an experienced operator of retail driven environments, such as commercial retailer, store operations (e.g. car rental, airlines, etc.). Experience in leading geographically spread multi sites is absolutely required. The candidate will likely have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of professional experience in such an environment with a clear commercial background and the potential to run a country organisation. He or she will present a good blend of functional expertise with leadership experience, a very sound business mind and strong people management capabilities.
