The organisation

Our client is a professional Food and Pharmaceutical organization, based in Flandre Orientale Belgium. The company is one of the largest players within the Food Ingredients with multiple plants world-wide.

The company has been growing fast over the last years and is currently looking for a very talented Manager Continuous Improvement who can support the plants in Europe in growing and development and improving (production).

The position

We are looking for a Lean champion for the Western Europe area! As Manager CI you are responsible for the implementation of CI/Lean at 18 sites in Europe with +/-900FTE and will be working closely together with the Site managers and the Operations Director.

The local Managers Continuous Improvement will directly report to the Operations Manager. But you will form a Project Team to make sure the projects at the sites run smoothly.

The Manager CI is directly in charge of leading the projects which are set by the Operations Director and will be a sparring partner for the Plant Manager when it comes to improving/lean.

Together with the CI-team the Manager CI EU will be giving trainings on the sites about CI-methodology and the use of tools (Lean).

The Manager CI EU is highly experienced with Continuous Improvement/Lean and has a proven track record when it comes to Change/Project Management.

In this position, you report directly to the Operations Director.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Implementation of Continuous Improvement
  • Leading 10 sites in Lean
  • Manage Project team
  • Sparring partner to Plant Managers
  • Train team in CI-methodology and use of tools (Lean)

Candidate Profile

  • MSc Engineering or related
  • MBA is highly preferred
  • Proven record of 8+ years in Continuous Improvement/TPM/Lean
  • Strong communication skills, people manager, coaching
  • At least 15 years of experience in a production environment in Life Sciences (Food/Pharma preferred)
  • Proven record of change management
  • Willing to traveI 50-60%

Terms & conditions

The salary indication for this role is up to € 120.000. Secondary benefits include a company car, bonus potential of 20%, meal vouchers, etc.
