Hays Purchasing and Logistics recruits for its client, an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services with 160,000 employees in 67 countries, a Transportation Contract Manager.

Having a master degree in logistics, your 5 years' experience enables you to acquire strong knowledge of the transportation market and of quality and performance management process. Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and high level of responsiveness are necessary to succeed in this job. Fluent in English, French or German is a plus.

Role/Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the supplying manager, you will be in charge of dry bulk transportation contracts management, from invitations to tender to the listing of providers. This role is strongly externally focussed and its goal is to improve the transportation quality and performance and to have transportation execution in the daily operations in compliance with the agreed contracts. You will work closely with the local logistics managers and you, you need to have strong understanding of the market and relationships with the carriers. You have a proactive approach towards internal and external customers. Setting up and executing performance and quality management processes will be part of responsibilities. You will be reporting to the Transportation Procurement Manager. Moreover you will have to motivate your collaborators in order to improve their results and service quality. You will work closely with the local logistics managers and aim at reducing costs, thanks to a common project with the other BU. You’ll need to have strong understanding of the Transportation market and of its evolution.
