Our client is an international organization with more than 10.000 employees around the world and headquarters in USA. The company is operating in the fields food & beverage as well as pharmaceutical. We are currently looking for a Supply & Demand Manager (m/f) EMEA. The primary function of this role is to lead EMEA demand and supply planning and balancing to ensure customer service and to support achieving business goals. You will report to the Supply Chain Director EMEA. The Supervision includes 3 direct reports, 10 total reports, all based in Hamburg.

Position

  • Lead the supply and demand planning team in line with business objectives
  • Develop and implement supply / sourcing and inventory strategies and plans to meet business plans and objectives
  • Lead management of demand and supply on operational level to meet business goals
  • Supply / demand performance monitoring and reporting
  • Development and implementation of initiatives and projects to continuously improve the performance of the business and to improve service levels
  • Determine and implement professional SC software solutions
  • Continuous Improvement in applying best practices and professional, tools and systems
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve efficiencies and drive down cost
  • Development of organization and people in supply and demand planning to meet long term business objectives
  • Training and development of people in supply and demand planning
  • Planning and coordination of staffing and resources
  • Drive effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the organization
  • Coordination of internal interfaces to other functions (customer service, sales, manufacturing, quality, finance, others)
  • Align regional supply chain goals with global network

Profil

  • University degree
  • Min 7 years working experience in a supply chain and manufacturing environment
  • Min 5 years experience in people management
  • Experience in supply chain planning and execution
  • Detailed knowledge in supply and demand planning
  • APICS certification desirable
  • Experience in working with professional SC software systems
  • IT: MS-Office, MS-Project, SAP, Lotus Notes
  • Languages: Fluent in German and English
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
