General Manager Solution Center
Strong business developer with substantive knowledge

The General Manager is responsible for managing the company in a controlled, profitable manner. As a General Manager you have a strong international scope and knowledge of international regulations on Supply Chain dynamics, manufacturing, logistics business and property. Preferably you have experience in the mobile Phone or automotive industry as well as traditional high volume, high tech manufacturing, a strong background in business development within the Benelux and also understand the complete supply chain process. Furthermore you possess a strong network within the Dutch/German logistics business. An operational background would be of added value and finally you possess excellent people management skills.

Job mission

• Define strategy, vision and business plans for the company within the overall corporate strategy
• Chair the Management Team meetings and take full responsibility for the business performance
• Generate sales/new business in conjunction with Sales and Marketing
• Set targets for departments based on company objectives and on plans developed by department managers
• Ensure all team members have a clear understanding of their posts, key responsibilities and also productive and agreeable working conditions
• Improve customer satisfaction and client retention
• Maintain world class inventory accuracy levels in a high consigned value environment
• Initiate management review of quality system
• Is counterpart (“bestuurder”) of Works council

Your profile

• University or Higher Vocational Education
• Proven general management experience in a international context
• Managerial skills (people, operations, financial)
• Business Skills (seeing new opportunities and room for optimization);
• Fluently in Dutch and English
• Ability to manage customer interfaces
• Experience in both operational and logistics environments
• Strong network within the Dutch /German logistics business
• Good understanding of consumer electronics business preferably also for automotive and/or mobile phones business
