Our client is a leading company in the FMCG sector worldwide. For our client located in the Rhein-Main area we are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Warehouse Director (m/f) to manage the local warehouse team.

Position

The warehouse services scope covers storage and handling of finished goods, WIP's, POSM, packaging material and management of warehouse providers.

• Direct the management of stockholding locations in Germany
• Act as the intermediate between Customer Management, factories and 3rd party providers of distribution services
• Develop and implement warehouse logistics KPI reports to ensure measurability of performance
• Contribute to the product development and packaging function to ensure that new / changed products can be safely and efficiently handled
• Manage regional distribution centre expense budget
• Cooperate with other regions and teams to ensure that German warehouse Logistics supports the achievement of company's delivery service and cost objectives
• Improve usage of logistics information systems (WMS, SAP) as well as cost management and identify further areas of opportunity for improving processes
• Develop innovative customer service programs

Profil

• Professional education in the field of Business Administration, ideally with focus on Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Transport
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an international company
• Experience in the pharmaceutical / chemical industry is a plus
• Experience in managing people
• German skills as well as excellent written and spoken English skills required
• Knowledge of logistics information / Warehouse supporting systems, ideally SAP 
• Strong analytical and process management skills
• Ability to work independently with effective problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Customer oriented behavior
• Proactive and results oriented approach and methodology
