Head of Regulatory & Compliance

The organisation

Our client is a fund and asset management company with business activities in 11 countries. Focusing on real estate investments and following a convincing and credible investment strategy the company experienced a steady growth and has currently over 4 billion assets under management.

We are currently looking for an experienced Compliance allrounder for the German office.

Position

• Risk-management relating to the regulated capital management companies (KVGs)
• Review/monitoring of regulatory equity
• Application of the licence as AIFM
• Data security
• Commercial law issues
• Shareholder resolutions and board resolutions
• Compliance advisory for the foreign branches
• Anti-money laundering
• Preparation of board meetings
• Know your client (KYC) process
• Writing compliance reports and documentation
• Undertaking Ad hoc projects

Candidate profile

• The ideal candidate will be a lawyer with regulatory law skills and ideally have at least 4 years of regulatory experience
• Knowledge and experience of AIFM business is a big plus must be ‘self-starter’, who are motivated, entrepreneurial characters who can work autonomously
• This is an exciting and newly created opportunity within a growing company and therefore it is essential that the successful incumbent is down to earth with a ‘can do’ and ‘hands on’ flexible work ethic
• You will be commercially astute and competent in all aspects of the regulatory business
• Additionally, you will also be a team player with charisma and above average communication skills, with decision-making potential, a ‘doer’ and not only an ‘observer’
