Well financed and staffed with an experienced management board, they aim to increase their success by concentrating on their key markets while also pushing further internationalization. To ensure an outstanding user experience and flawless scaling of their products, they are now looking for a detail oriented Chief Technology Officer (m/f) with broad experience in the new financial economy and a highly quality oriented approach. The successful candidate will be based in Berlin.

Position

• We are looking for an entrepreneurial and clear-sighted CTO (m/f), who will be responsible for managing the complex IT department, ensuring perfect conditions for all team members and providing the company with a state-of the art technological backbone that will be the key to future success
• You will generally be in charge of tech strategy, training & employee development, setting priorities, managing resources and assuring on-time delivery with outstanding quality
• You will take decisions that will make a difference, combining diverse goals while always adapting to the newest market trends
• You provide the teams with direction and vision. Further, you motivate your team members to perform, provide them with feedback and coaching, recognize and develop their strengths
• You and your team are in charge of the daily operations and development of the platform. Therefore it is crucial to ensure a flawless 24/7 availability of the sensitive systems, investigate incidents, solve problems and oversee several projects, timelines and releases at the same time
• In difficult or urgent situations you support your team hands on by providing guidance, knowledge and support
• You will be a sparring partner to the general management and act as the focal point connecting the technical world with the company's business objectives
• You will achieve a balanced symbiosis between different stakeholder goals, such as technological brilliance and innovation, business expansion through technological superiority and keeping an eye on the investment side/costs

Profil

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related engineering fields
• Proven track record in leading complex (international) E-Commerce projects and teams within the new financial economy using agile methodologies
• Experience with scaling highly sensitive IT landscapes
• Strong technical background in web development and various other fields of Information Technology
• Passion for creating lean and target oriented IT systems with a very detail oriented and data driven approach
• Very good problem solving skills and a ''hands on'' attitude when it comes to urgent situations
• Enthusiasm and ability to form a unit of entrepreneurial thinking employees by empowering and mentoring less experienced team members
• Exceptional leadership skills and a decisive as well as pragmatic personality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to lead discussions on all levels
• Full proficiency of the English language; German would be beneficial
