For a leading global trading firm FinanceSearch is currently looking for a:

Team leader Risk Management

Within this position he or she is responsible for the total risk of the trading positions within the company (100+ traders). He or she will monitor and review market activity, review positions taken and communicate with senior management.

Responsibilities include:

• Trading positions
• P&L reporting
• Pricing & sensitivity generation
• Sensitivities & VaR figures
• Stress Test Results
• Economic Capital
• Both core & non-core risks
• Challenging of poor risk-return decisions
• Review current risk reporting processes and highlight gaps and weaknesses in current coverage, measurement and/or methodologies
• Understand and explain risks taken in exotic or structured products

He or she must also be able to promote change with the business, such as transparency of core & non-core risks; limit setting, monitoring & reaction and risk / reward tradeoff.

Candidate Profile:

Successful candidates should have at least 5 years experience within a Risk Management Position and have strong knowledge of equity, equity derivative products and markets. Additional qualifications are: excellent quantitative skills and understanding of accounting (e.g. Regulatory Capital, Valuation of position for derivatives, illiquid securities, reserving policies). He or she has good Excel/C++ skills, thorough understanding of equity derivatives risks, (correlation, dividend, and skew) and VaR methodologies (testing of VaR, back-testing issues).
