Position
Responsible for establishing and managing overall client relationships and setting account strategy. The sales force is organized to emphasize a team sales culture.
Relationship Managers call upon product & solutions specialists as well as other functional team members to assist in managing the contracting process and in presenting products, benefits, and solutions to prospective clients. You will be expected to find new prospective clients, to direct sales specialist teams, to manage sales cycles to closure and to aid in retention of existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full lifecycle sales process which includes identifying and initiating new sales opportunities by prospecting new clients and leveraging off existing client relationships, sales presentations and contract negotiations.
- Ensure complete client coverage by calling upon product specialists and other client facing professionals where appropriate.
- Act as the point of contact for the Chief Risk Officer or Chief Credit Officer level at the client company.
- Provide current sales forecasts and pipeline information to management.
- Market product and service solutions to the Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Financing and Corporate sectors in Germany and German-speaking regions of Europe.
- Meet established revenue targets, while creating new and enhanced customer relationships ensuring satisfaction.
- Generate new revenue from research, software, product and service solutions and defending & growing existing revenue streams.
- Work closely with Product Specialists, Product Strategists, Marketing Strategists and other employees within the organization and leverage their appropriate expertise to the sales cycle.
- Represent the company in company and industry sponsored events, as required.
- Position requires travel within Europe.
Profil
- Must be degree educated (or equivalent), preferably gained in a finance, economics, engineering or related area preferred.
- Extensive experience in a sales role within a financial and/or software/services organisation with a successful track record in sales is required.
- Experience with corporate credit risk processes would be highly desirable.
- Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach.
- Ability to influence key decision makers during the complete sales process.
- Strong negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
- Ability to multi task and to meet short deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills and able to successfully manage multiple client relationships.
- Written and verbal fluency in both English and German languages is required.
- Experience in managing (directly or indirectly) other sales professionals is preferred
