Position

• The successful candidate will be working as regulatory controller within the Frankfurt finance team. 
• In this position, the controller will be responsible for the entire regulatory reporting to either the German Central Bank or the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. 
• The Controller will furthermore support the CFO and the local management team in the analysis of new products.
• We are looking for a regulatory controller (m/f) who will be able to build a safe and controlled Regulatory environment for our client and support the growth of the franchise.
• Production of daily regulatory reporting (capital usage, liquidity reporting, large loan reporting) 
• Production of monthly reporting to federal regulator
• Production of quarterly reports to federal regulator for large loan reporting (§ 13 KWG/ §14 KWG)
• Analysis for capital usage/ capital allocation/ return on equity 
• Preparation of daily management information reports
• Control and analysis of reverse repo- / repo business
• MIS reporting foremost for reverse repo business (analysis of underlying collateral, limits, pricing)
• Validation concerning new products in accordance to regulations for new products
• Optimisation of regulatory charges for existing businesses
• Maintenance and further enhancement of regulatory systems
• Assistance for the preparation of the annual financial statements, during their audit and for other internal/external audits

Profil

• University Degree in business administration / accounting or equivalent
• Minimum ca. 8 - 10 years experience in the Banking industry 
• Experience in dealing with a treasury funding/ lending business unit is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations required such as German Banking Act (KWG), Solvency (SolvV) - and Liquidity (LiqV) regulations, Large Loan reporting (GroMiKV) and Minimum Requirements of Risk Management (MaRisk)
• Strong IT skills: Window Applications (Excel, Access, Databases)
• Confidence in dealing with senior management / Front Office
• Self starting and ability to deliver quality work with limited supervision with being creative and innovative
• Builds and maintains relationships within the Finance Divisions & other support areas both locally and with colleagues in the UK
• Good understanding of products traded in a German Bank
• Trading Book Experience 
• Good communication abilities, flexibility, team player
• Attention to details
• Fluent German and English language
