Manager Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) / Manager Controlling

IMC Financial Services is looking for a Manager Business Planning & Analyses / Manager Controlling, for their head office in Amsterdam.

The BP&A manager takes end responsibility for the delivery of Management Information, Medium Term Planning and Competitive analysis to the senior management of the company.

Desired Skills & Experience
 

• Delivering Management Information & P&L and Business analysis — Head of reporting is the ultimate responsible for reporting Financials, Risk numbers, HR data & other company data on a monthly basis to senior management of the company. As Finance manager you decide on reporting style, Key Performance Indicators, procedures, competitor research & analysis, clearing/exchange management information 
• Coaching and developing others — Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Semi-annually the performance of employees is reviewed by the manager and documented in an official PM review. Address underperformers as soon as possible, create plans to improve and don’t be afraid to give negative message in fair empathic way 
• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work. Make sure your team members spend their time on the things that add value 
• Making decisions and solving problems — Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Make the decisions that others can’t: you are in a position where you see the consolidated financials of the whole company. This is where you can really make the difference in reporting and creating KPI’s that matter. Delegate as much as possible, but give complete ownership and define delegated work SMART. While delegating make sure you have enough information to make the key decision 
• Understand big picture of the company and effectively communicate with team members and across other groups 
• Continuously represent the company in and outside, in a positive way to motivate and encourage others Lead-by-example 
• Costs — Analyse actual costs vs Budget for every company, strategy, cost center etc 
• Budget – Be at the centre of creating a Budget in the fall of each year. 
• MTP (Medium Term Plan) – Create every spring a Medium Term Plan for every company, strategy etc etc to be able to forecast P&L, Balance Sheets and Cash on a longer term based on comprehensible KPI’s

Background and Experience 

• 10 to maximum 15 years Hands on experience in Controllers or Management accounting roles 
• University degree in Economics/Business 
• A post-graduate degree in Controlling or Business is Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus but not necessary 
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, mostly Excel (including VBA)en Access 
• IT literate 
• Experience with equity derivatives and asset Management would be an advantage 
• Knowledge of treasury instruments 
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal skills 
• Pro-active and enthusiastic 
• Flexible and stress resistant 
• Willingness to Travel 
• Experience with ERP Reporting system
