Um die Geschäftsentwicklung voranzutreiben und den Marktanteil zu erhöhen, suchen wir im Auftrag unseres Mandanten einen Head of Financial Controlling (m/w).

Position

Reporting to the Finance Director Germany you will oversee all aspects of financial controlling including Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, Internal Controls, Tax, VAT and other Statutory and Legal Requirements

The role will be responsible for a team of approximately 15 people based across three different locations in Germany.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with an audit background who is change orientated with strong finance systems skills and a proven track record of implementing process improvements.

• Ensure an adequate control and compliance environment 
• Deliver on statutory, tax and legal requirements
• Budget control
• Build a highly effective team
• Working capital forecasting

Profil

• University degree Level
• Qualified accountant
• 12 to 15 years of experience in different finance roles
• Audit background 
• Previous exposure to a Shared Service Centre
• Extensive SAP FI and BI experience
• Good knowledge of internal controls framework (SOX)
• Expertise with German statutory requirements and IFRS accounting rules
• Proven track record in improving internal processes and restructuring teams
• Ability to work under high pressure - managing different priorities at the same time - this is not a 9 to 5 job
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels
• Fluent in English
• Strong personality
• Change agent
• Able to deal with a complex organizational set-up
• Ability to work 100% independently
• A clear vision on what ''best-in-class'' financial controlling stands for is a MUST
• Positive mindset, can do attitude
• Be a role model in driving simplification - stop doing all activities that today aren''t delivering any value 
• Prepared to work across different locations in Germany
