Our client is an international company with global headquarters in the USA. To strengthen its finance & accounting team in Munich, we are currently looking for an Head of Accounting (m/f).

Position

• Responsible for accurate & timely monthly closings and for all accounting related processes within the all Group
• Advising different legal entities on accounting and tax issues
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures as well as the integrity of balance sheet values
• Supporting improvements and maintenance of the SAP System
• Implementing global accounting principles, procedures, reporting concepts and systems to meet legal financial reporting requirements
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP
• Achieving tax efficiency of business compliance with local tax requirements
• Managing relationships with external auditors
• Leading, coaching and developing the accounting team

Profil

• University degree in business administration with emphasis on finance & accounting
• Minimum 10 years of significant financial management experience within an international environment
• Hands on mentality
• Ability to work and report within a multinational organization
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Intercultural and interpersonal skills for communicating and building relationships with multiple levels and (internal and external) interfaces
• Fluency in both German and English
