The organisation

Our client is one of the worldwide most known corporations in its industry (US Headquarters, Consulting Services). To accompany the further grow of its operations in Germany we now recruit the Finance & Operations Manager Germany (m/f) based in Frankfurt (Main).

The position

Support Office Manager

  • Overall finance leadership/accountability for the German operations
  • Provide strategic and operational support to the Office Manager
  • Deliver and analyse various operational data, including workloads, efficiency, pricing and BD.
  • Represent finance and administration at consultants' meetings
  • Prepare data and information for meetings
  • Responsibility for Office Leases
  • Work closely with Office Coordinators all over Germany as well as the reception and IT contact for all office related contracts such as telephones, cleaning etc.

Improve office performance

  •  Monthly projections
  • Compile and monitor annual budget
  • Review and benchmark KPIs
  • Manage receivables/Cash forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with firm financial policies (incl. pricing)

Accounting/Reporting

  • Monthly management accounts reporting to European and Global Headquarters
  • Manage Financial Accounting - GL accounts, reconciliations, receivables, expenses
  • Oversee office administration/payroll/AP/billing
  • Responsible for annual accounts/tax return
  • Oversee all tax related issues
  • Contact for accountants, auditors, tax authorities, bank etc.

Candidate profile

  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Good communicator - ability to explain financial information to non-finance people
  • Fluent in German and English - written and spoken
  • Ability to influence other staff of all levels by words, style, actions etc.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Pro-active and challenge the status quo
  • Ability to make deadlines under pressure. Resilience
  • Hands-on style - will be involved in a wide range of duties at varying levels of ''seniority''

Other qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration (Bachelor, Master etc.) and/or Bilanzbuchhalter-Exam (combined e.g. with a Controller-Exam) and/or equivalent qualification(s)
  • Solid experience with US GAAP and HGB (German GAAP), ideally in an international company with two sets of books
  • Strong Excel skills. Experience on an accounting package like Peoplesoft or SAP would be useful
