Our client is a global player within the electronic sector. On its behalf, we are currently looking for a European Controling Manager.

Position

  • Develops and manages a productive finance team by hiring, training and leading qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and provide effective training, development, and succession planning
  • Supervises the preparation and analysis of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise accounting results in terms of profitability, performance against budgets/forecasts, and other matters affecting the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company
  • Manages financial analysis projects required to improve the company's global systems and processes
  • Oversees all internal and external financial reporting to ensure accurate and reliable reporting of the company's financial condition and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures
  • Establishes and implements financial policies, control standards, and corporate budgetary control systems, and drives continuous improvement efforts, to ensure seamless and accurate flow of data, enhance productivity and reduce internal costs
  • Supports mergers and acquisitions from the beginning of the due diligence work to the final successful integration

Profil

  • University degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting plus a CPA or European equivalent
  • A minimum of 8+ years of related experience is required including experience in accounting, finance, payroll, and general management. Prior public accounting experience with a larger firm and M&A Acquisition would be a plus, especially in financial reporting to a US Parent
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Ability to interpret complex accounting issues and apply technical guidance
  • Business, managerial, leadership and strategic thinking skills for planning and managing department, staff, budgets and projects
  • Ability to work and report within a multinational and multi-subsidiary organization
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written German and English communication
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on working Manager
  • Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, Power Point, Databases, and general ledger software
