To further expand the Asia-Pacific market, we are currently recruiting an International Sales Director Medical Devices for Applied Medical. 

The position

In this position, your will be primarily responsible for the analysis of the market for their existing products and markets, identification of sales opportunities, development and implementation of product positioning and pricing strategies in several Asia-Pacific countries. 

The International Sales Director works closely together with the local Sales Managers to develop the product positioning and pricing strategies. In this role, you will directly manage one or more Sales Directors, Sales Managers and Market Implementation Specialists, and you will report to the President Europe.

The position is located at the European Headquarters in the Netherlands and will require extensive international travel.

Tasks & responsibitilies

  • Building an effective sales and market implementation organization
  • Analyzing the market and identifying sales opportunities for existing products and markets
  • Developing product positioning and price strategies
  • Visiting Key Opinion Leaders and customers with local sales teams
  • Reporting market and sales trends for existing products and market
  • Supporting the implementation of future products
  • Identifying clinical education needs
  • Further developing the careers of direct reports

Candidate profile

  • Relevant Master degree level in Business, Economics or Marketing
  • Experience with P&L or margin responsibility
  • Managerial experience
  • Medical device sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven track record in strategy development and market access
  • International work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Availability to international travel, including sometimes in the weekends
  • Strategic, 'outside of the box' level of thinking and the ability to analyze issues
  • Adheres to high standards of business ethics
  • Pro-active and flexible, shows commitment to the organization and task completion
