The position

Adyen is looking for a born leader who can work with the Account Management team in Amsterdam. A highly motivated team player who is always a step ahead and enjoys working in a very fast growing, high tech, fun and challenging environment.

This role requires a confident, dynamic and self-motivated professional, who is able to take responsibility and manage a growing team (currently 17) of highly educated payment experts who are consulting the largest companies in Europe on their global Omni-channel strategy. An ability and desire to learn is essential, as is a sense of humor.

As a VP Account Management you will be involved in:

  • the day to day operations of the account managers;
  • strategic decisioning;
  • maintaining high-end service delivery;
  • merchant visits;
  • forecasting;
  • commercial discussions;
  • hiring process;
  • prioritizing in-and external projects;
  • and building out this highly valued team.

Leading a team dedicated to the management of our European merchants, you will report to the SVP Accounts/Head of Account Management. In this exciting and dynamic role you will not only be responsible for liaising with the Account Management team, the client and the other teams within Adyen. You will also be the main point of contact for the escalation of issues, and the strategic coordination of business critical client programs and relationship.

The Account Management team currently exists out of highly educated (master degree only) Account Managers who are product and industry experts and a strategic asset to the largest Adyen merchants. As such, they accept end-to-end responsibility for the success and satisfaction of the merchants in their care.

The successful candidate we are looking for is a people manager with experience in a fast growing environment, a commercial drive and feeling with technology (a background in coding is a plus).

As our future VP Accounts you must have excellent time management, written and oral skills together with the ability to multi-task.
