Senior Manager Corporate Development

The organisation

For our client, a worldwide operating Private Bank, we seek to recruit a high calibre candidate to assist the Head of Corporate Development in strategic initiatives.

Responsible for the development and delivery of key strategic projects and initiatives for Wealth Management Division.

The position

The consultant is a member of a small global team. The specific responsibilities of individual team members may change depending on prevailing business needs at any given time. The Senior Manager will likely take a key business support role in individual projects.

• Manage and deliver key strategic projects and initiatives (market strategies, client service models et al.)
• Act as the centre of excellence within Wealth Management for driving strategic projects and initiatives
• Initiate, input, co-ordinate and drive the delivery of strategic projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with change management and business colleagues across the Division for the successful outcome of strategic projects and initiatives
• Evaluate and challenge the business on the content and direction of projects and initiatives
• Competitor and market research
• Act as the centre of excellence in Wealth Management for the production, analysis, interpretation and application of market / competitor research
• Manage and develop key supplier relationships with external points of contact (internally and externally) to ensure the continuing input from and robustness of key information sources and opinion formers
• Ad hoc executive committee and business support
• Research, develop options and recommend solutions to ad hoc issues
• as required
• Prepare executive and board papers as required
• Input and participation in strategic planning and project meetings, forums and workshops
• Engagement and participation in business management meetings and workshops

Candidate profile

• Excellent University degree from leading school
• Strong experiences/track record in strategy consulting and (Private) Banking
• Excellent English language skills required, fluent German required
• Level of engagement and energy
• Willingness to drive projects/initiatives forward proactively
• Strong commercial experience, with at least 7 years in the financial services industry, and knowledge of a wide range of wealth management products and services
• Strategic planning and development, including proven research and analytical skills and the ability to formulate logical, well considered concepts, conclusions and recommendations
• Experience of project planning including project definition, articulation and management and including the ability to manage more than one project at any one time
• Proven experience in the production of appropriate written reports and presentations for a variety of audiences
• Strong awareness of internal and external issues and their strategic implications
