The Position

As a Global Sales Director at our client, a software company and a world leader Enterprise Content Management, you are expected to be a highly motivated and experienced B2B Sales professional, with a proven track record in selling (direct) enterprise software solutions to Fortune 500 clients, in the focus industries, Finance, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Utilities, Pharmaceutical. 

You are an entrepreneurial and confident sales professional with a proven track record in selling to Mid-level and C-level management. You are an all-round, career-driven, “hunter” who is determined to establish a successful sales career in a quickly growing market segment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Achieving annual license sales target
  • Expand the footprint in assigned Global Accounts through winning new projects, upsell new products, roll-outs and striking enterprise deals
  • Responsible for global business development within the named Global Accounts in cooperation with local sales executives from other regions as appropriate
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from cold calling to contract negotiations
  • Organize and deliver solution presentations for prospects and customers with the support of the pre-sales team
  • Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports
  • Work with global system integrators for the assigned Global Accounts as appropriate
  • Represent the organisation in a highly professional way

Candidate profile

To be successful in this position you need to be an experienced sales professional with a proven sales record of exceeding targets at Fortune 500 companies, affinity with business and technical solutions and have the following qualities and experience:

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude, excellent communication skills, and a “hunter mentality”
  • Experience in B2B enterprise software sales 
  • Experience in managing and developing business opportunities at Fortune 500 customers
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to manage relationships with (new and existing) customers
  • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • Ability to demonstrate successful sales track records (+10 years) with a high level of (over) achievement
  • The ability to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Comfortable in selling Enterprise software solutions to all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management   (ECM) is a pre
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently (from an home office), as well as within a team
  • Driven, intuitive and ambitious attitude whilst being tenacious and articulate
  • Willingness to frequently travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German (French and other languages are a pre)
